\\LOCATION OF FESTIVAL
Master Classes and all Events (excluding concert & Yoga on the beach) will be held at the Shorebreak Beachfront Hotel:
500 Pacific Coast Highway Huntington Beach, CA 92648.
Concert venue to be announced at a later date.
Yoga on the beach exact meet up location will be announced at a later date to those with All Inclusive Festival Passes.
Weather in July in Huntington Beach, California is typically 75 to 85 degrees (Fahrenheit) in the day time and
65 to 75 degrees (Fahrenheit) in the evening.
John Wayne Airport (SNA) - A 20 minute drive to the festival's location.
Long Beach Airport (LGB) - A 25 to 30 minute drive to the festival's location.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) - A 60 minute drive to the festival's location.
Ontario International Airport (ONT) - A 90 minute drive to the festival's location.
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) - A 90 minute drive to the festival's location.
There are plenty of hotels nearby. Alternatively, renting a private residence at www.airbnb.com is a great option and can be really affordable! Many attendees typically roommate with friends to save money and to share the awesome experience!

Keep in mind that if you book outside of the festival dates (7/7/21-7/12/21), you may receive an error that looks like the block is full, but it is because the dates you want aren’t added to our block. The festival is located just steps to the beach and walking distance to an abundance of oceanfront dining and retail shopping options. There is plenty to do and see, all within walking distance. In the case you need vehicle transportation and don't have a vehicle of your own, Uber, Lyft, Bike Cruisers & Taxis are all great options to getting around. For those with vehicles, we highly recommend taking a cruise down famous Pacific Coast Highway and take in the ocean breeze and views on the way!
The festival is truly located in one of the best and sought out parts of California. The beautiful beach is the back drop to your experience. Southern California has much entertainment to offer for everyone in the family including Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, art galleries, wine tasting experiences, shopping, picturesque golfing locations, coastal hiking, and many jaw dropping beaches!

\\SO. CAL TAP JAM
The So. Cal Tap Jam is open to all festival attendees who have purchased a festival All Inclusive Pass. It is a safe and inspiring place for tap dancers of all levels to improvise with other dancers. It's also a great time to connect and express. This is an optional event but it is highly recommended that dancers participate.
The Cutting Contest is a friendly improvisation conversation between dancers in the same level/age range. This is a great opportunity for students to display their musicality, timing, technique, and skills. The winners of each level/age group will receive an awesome prize worth $250+ US Dollars! Our cutting contest is for ages 13 years and older. Participation is optional but highly encouraged.

*This is an additional cost and is not included with a festival pass.
Attendees who are registered for a festival pass are eligible to participate in our student showcases! A dancer can't register for a student showcase without registering and purchasing a festival pass. One student showcase per dancer.
We will be in touch via email with all tap dancers who register and pay to participate in our student showcases, to collect music and other important performance details.
New this year! In addition to a night of choreographed solos, we are introducing our first night of "LIVE! At The Fest". This will be an evening of students to showcase an improvised solo, accompanied by a live band, in front of a live audience, and will receive live adjudication by some of our world-renowned faculty!
DETAILS FOR "LIVE! At The Festival" Student Showcase
What is required of the dancer:
-Introduce themselves to the band and audience
-Provide the standard jazz tune and its version prior to performing (by June 15th).
-Easily and quickly communicate the arrangement to the band on the spot
-Solo performance has to be improvised but may have some choreographed sections, for example the chorus.
What we will need from the dancer:
-Standard Jazz tune of their choice
We will send out a detailed email to performers prior to the festival.
-Version of the chosen tune
-Arrangement Notes (Head, stop time, trading, solos)
Adjudication will be on the following:
-Choice of tune and its arrangement
-Approach (footwork and body)
-Presentation (overall look)
Choreographed Solo Student Showcase:
Performance will include live adjudication by our World-Renowned Faculty. The showcase is not a competition and is hosted in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Dances may not exceed three minutes. One entry per festival attendee. The Student Showcase is limited to 10 festival attendees and those who have purchased an All Inclusive Festival Pass. Participation is optional but highly encouraged.
\\ITEMS TO BRING TO THE FESTIVAL
Tap shoes, beachwear, water, snacks, extra pair of tap shoes, socks, band-aids,
sharpie (for faculty autographs), camera, comfortable dance clothes, i.e. leggings, tank tops, shorts, notebook and pen.
\\RECORDING AND PICTURES
Recording in the classroom is not permitted unless the teacher announces it is okay. Pictures during a class is not permitted. You may take pictures with friends and faculty before and/or after classes and at festival events.
Switching levels is not allowed nor is taking classes in a level you are not registered for. If a dancer feels they have registered for the incorrect level and would like to switch to another level, they must see someone from the Festival's Administrative Team to inquire and get approval.
Parents/Guardians are not allowed to observe classes. Parents/Guardians are more than welcome to observe the Cutting Contest & Student Showcase, FREE of charge as space permits (no tickets needed).
Faculty may be subject to change due to special circumstances. While we don't anticipate changes to our faculty, we reserve the right to change the faculty lineup with or without notice.

Events may be subject to change due to special circumstances. While we don't anticipate changes to our events, we reserve the right to change events and their details with or without notice.
We are offering a deposit option where one can hold a spot with a $200 (USD) deposit. We are offering a limited number of attendees to opt-in for this option. Deposits are non-refundable (see refund policy below) and the consumer agrees to pay the entire balance whether they attend the festival or not. The remaining balance due + a 3% processing fee must be paid by June 15th, 2021 (no exceptions). A digital invoice for the remaining balance will be sent to the consumer immediately following the deposit made. This invoice must be paid by credit or debit card online. These terms are also listed on the "checkout" page.
No refunds, all sales are final unless the festival is cancelled by us and/or Government Officials. The safety and health of our staff and attendees are our number one priority. In the event our festival is cancelled due to pandemics and/or natural disasters or for any other reason(s), we will offer these options:
1. Place funds towards a postponed festival.
2. Place funds towards a future festival.
3. Refund purchases minus a 3% credit card processing fee AND a $25 administrative/registration fee.
GIFT CERTIFICATE REFUND POLICY & TERMS & CONDITIONS:
A gift certificate (or gifted festival pass) may only be used towards a festival pass in 2021 (no exceptions) and may not be redeemed for cash or other goods. No refunds, all sales are final unless the festival is cancelled by us and/or Government Officials. The safety and health of our staff and attendees are our number one priority. In the event our festival is cancelled due to pandemics and/or natural disasters, we will offer these options:
